Cultivate Soil,
Cultivate Future…
We believe composting is not merely a waste solution, but a cultural practice — one that shapes how people relate to materials, land, and responsibility.
Kompos kultur
Who we are
We are a practice-driven initiative focused on compost systems, regenerative farming, and community-based learning. Our work sits at the intersection of ecology, culture, and daily life — designing systems that grow from local context rather than imported models.
We work with households, communities, institutions, and land-based projects to build compost and regeneration practices that are practical, adaptable, and rooted in care.
Why Compost and Why Culture
For us, compost is more than waste management. It is a daily practice that reconnects people with natural cycles, responsibility, and care. Culture matters because systems only last when they fit the way people live. Without cultural understanding, even the most advanced ecological solutions fail to take root. Compost becomes meaningful when it is practiced, shared, and understood within its social and environmental context.
Values
Our work is guided by culture-first thinking, circular systems, inclusivity, and hands-on practice. We prioritize learning by doing, accessibility, and long-term stewardship over quick fixes or mass solutions
How we work
We begin with observation and dialogue. Each project starts by understanding material flow, human behavior, space, and local ecology. From there, we design systems, implement them together with users, and provide ongoing guidance so the system can evolve over time — strengthening ownership rather than dependency. We collaborate with engineers, architects, and practitioners experienced in permaculture landscape design and water recycling. This flexible collaboration allows each project to be supported by the right expertise, while remaining rooted in local context and community needs.
Where we work
Our work spans households, community spaces, schools, small farms, institutions, and pilot environments. While rooted locally, our systems are designed to be adaptable across different scales and contexts.

We are a small, practice-driven team supported by trusted collaborators. Our roles grow from what we do daily, in the field and with communities.
Arum Christina H.
Founder — Compost System Designer & Consultant
Arum founded Kompos Kultur to bring composting back into everyday life as a cultural and ecological practice. Her work focuses on designing adaptive compost systems shaped by observation, microbial processes, and human behavior. She works closely with users to ensure each system is context-specific, practical, and easy to care for over time. Beyond system design, Arum facilitates learning spaces, workshops, and community programs — bridging technical knowledge with hands-on practice and cultural understanding.
